Seattle University's Association for Computing Machinery, Girls Who Code, and ANIMAL are planning to host a 24-hour hackathon (technical project competition) at Seattle University's Student Center on Saturday, February 1st at 12Noon, and ending on Sunday, February 2nd at 2PM. This event is open to all college students in the Greater Seattle Area!
NO PREVIOUS TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR TO ATTEND!
Details For the Event
- Address: 901 12th Ave Seattle, WA 98122
- Cost of Attendance will be free
- Teams of up to 3 members are allowed
- There will be 1 meal provided at 5PM on Saturday
- We will provide light snacks and refreshments, but participants are encouraged to bring their own food & refreshments as well
- Transportation will not be provided
- There will be an overnight workingspace, but we will not offer an overnight sleeping area so please plan accordingly!
- Parking information can be found on the SeattleU Website
- We recommend the Visitor Lot on 12th Ave or the Murphy Parking Garage on E Cherry St.

- A functional application/demo with a tech stack of your choosing that is based on our two tracks: Foundation & Connection
- Foundation
- From innocations in healthcare to applications of physics, society is founded upon application of STEM. Showcase what your ideas look like to help make the world a constantly innovative place!
- Connection
- Connecting with one another is the thing that makes us human, and technology can make it easier and accessibile. Whether your project is rooted in assisting with mental health, disability services, or anything that helps connect one-another, showcase your ideas to make the world a more connected place!
What to Submit (DUE 2/2 AT NOON)
- A public GitHub repository
- README explaining your project, technologies used, formatting of organization, documentation to get your application running
- If project is a website, provide both the GitHub repository as well as the public URL for judges to access
- A presentation to be given to judges
- Format TBD but will either be in-person or through a video format.
