Judging Criteria

  • Creativity
The projects will judged based on the creativity of the demonstration, and the uniqueness of the idea.
  • Relevance to Theme
The theme of "help individuals make better financial decisions" or "help create economic sustainability for individuals, or business" needs to be adhered to. The more relevant the idea is to the theme, the more of a chance of doing well in this category.
  • Effort
The amount of effort each team put in for the "hack" is also rated. The relative difficulty, based on the participants knowledge in STEM, and the amount of work put into the demonstration is considered for this category.
  • Feasibility
The judges will use their knowledge of STEM to determine whether or not the idea is achievable in the real world. They will consider whether or not it is something that can be created, and function as proposed.
