This script editor supports UTF-8, allowing you to save ANSI scripts in UTF-8 and vice versa. The format (ANSI or UTF-8) is also displayed in the title line for each file in the editor, ensuring special characters, such as Umlauts, are displayed correctly.
For SAP Unicode systems you need to save the scripts in UTF-8 format, otherwise special characters, e.g. Umlauts, will not be displayed correctly, and screen elements containing these characters are not recognized. The script editor supports UTF-8. With the "Save as..." dialog you can save an ANSI script in UTF-8 and vice versa. New scripts are always created using the least recently used format. The format (ANSI or UTF-8) is also displayed in the title line for each file in the editor.
