Drop-in is held in the Tutoring Centre (Library 2nd Floor, room 2006G).
See the calendar for drop-in dates and times.
Any Red Deer Polytechnic student can get writing help by email for any course in any program.
Complete the Writing Help by Email Form below. You will be contacted by a Writing Tutor with a date when you can expect your essay back with our comments and suggestions.
Our normal turn-around time is 1-3 working days, but please leave as much time as possible before your due date for us to review your work. Sharing your essay with us doesn't guarantee we'll be able to offer comments before your due date since that's dependent on when you submit, service demand, and tutor availability.
We offer many other ways for students to get writing help, including appointments (both in-person and online), drop-in, and writing groups. Please refer to those sections for more information.
Work on your assignments in an informal, supportive group environment, with the Writing Tutor available to answer questions, offer suggestions, and share information and advice on any writing or citation topic. The group might focus on assignments that are due or on prepared writing topics from the Writing Tutor.
No appointment needed and attendance is not mandatory—attend the sessions you want when it works for you.
Grab a friend and come write with us!
