The library can assist in making supplemental class materials available. Electronic resources can be added to your Canvas course; physical (print) resources can be made available for use at the MSU Libraries.

Faculty and instructors are invited to collaborate with the MSU Libraries and Archives & Special Collections for exhibits that highlight academic, creative, or research-based projects. Exhibits may be proposed as standalone displays or integrated into course assignments. Guidance and support for exhibit materials, installation, planning, and display logistics is provided, and scheduling is determined based on availability and the exhibition calendar.

Research librarians provide library instruction sessions or workshops based on the needs of your class. Customized sessions may include topics such as the elements of the research process, finding reliable sources, using specialized research databases and tools, and avoiding plagiarism. Sessions may be offered face-to-face, online, or recorded for use in your Canvas course.

Collaborate with the instructional technology specialists in the MaxxSouth Digital Media Center to develop in-class or online support for your class. Support includes Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier), Virtual and Augmented Reality and 3-D printing.

Each semester, the MSU Libraries offers over 100 general and specialized workshops that may be used as part of your course. These sessions cover research topics, specialized research and technology tools, and popular software applications. Customized workshops beyond the current list of topics may also be requested (see above).

Request the development of a customized research guide for your class. We can include both library and other online resources. The page can be added as a resource in your Canvas course.

These workshops offer support for research and writing literature reviews, dissertation basics, research ethics, publishing, creating CVs, job hunting, and more.

The MSU Libraries provide a wide variety of technologies that faculty and students can checkout. Technology available include laptops, still and motion cameras, projectors, projection screens, voice recorders, tripods, and more.

There are a variety of meeting rooms and technology enabled spaces available in the library for reserve.

The AV Studio in the MaxxSouth Digital Media Center may be reserved for individual or class use and allows users to quickly and easily record audio and/or video presentations. The AV Studio is now equipped with a lightboard that allows a user to write on the illuminated glass and simulate writing on a chalk or dry-erase board. This is an excellent option for faculty wishing to incorporate this element into a recorded lecture.

The TV Studio in the MaxxSouth Digital Media Center is a digital, high definition (HD) -ready studio suitable for filming/recording, editing, and producing high quality digital media video projects. The space features multiple cameras, a green screen, a graphics system, and a control room with a video switcher and audio board.
