Team Size: 1-3
Contest Description: At the start of the event, participants will be presented with a specific topic to create a product around. The competing teams will have 20 hours to design and create a digital tool, system, or process that relates to the theme. After the 20-hour work time has ended, each team will have submitted their creation through the devpost website to be judged. Points will then be awarded afterwards and announced via a hackathon groupme to be sent out closer to the event.
Rules:

The hackathon theme will be announced once the event begins at 2pm.

Teams must be signed up for the event on devpost before the topic is announced.

Participants may not begin working on their project prior to the start of the event.

Participants may use general-purpose libraries, frameworks, and otherwise open-source software as a part of their project, but may not reuse components of software related to the hackathon’s specific theme. All used libraries must be included with the submission.

Participants must submit photo/video evidence of their progress (and of their group working on the project) at 10pm the day the topic is announced through groupme.

The project will be due by 10am the following day via devpost submission

Included with the submission must be details about the project, including a name, short description, and possible use cases for the project.

Judges will rate each project from 1 to 5 on the following categories:

Relevance to Theme

Originality
-
Technical Difficulty

Interface Design
Points:
For each category, the ratings from each judge will be averaged together. The team’s final score will be the sum of these four category ratings.
