The Information Technology Manager reports to the Chief of Staff. S/he is responsible for identifying the organization’s IT needs, implementing and maintaining IT solutions, adding updates and enhancements to current systems, forecasting future needs, safeguarding IT security, and ensuring employees’ technical issues are resolved efficiently. This individual will also serve as technology advisor to the organization’s leadership.
SALARY RANGE: $75,000 – $100,000
Location:
Greater Tampa Bay; while some work will be remote, the location in Tampa is non-negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs; identify the organization’s IT requirements, needs and preferences; implement these systems/solutions accordingly; ensure the highest levels of security, reliability, and performance
- Maintain company hardware and software programs
- Scan and evaluate the organization’s systems to find any risks, vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities; propose and recommend any new software to help the company meet its organizational goals
- Identify and implement upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
- Train employees on existing and new IT systems, software, and programs, etc.
- Champion a culture of innovation by leading the organization-wide AI initiative, including training, policy development, and tracking metrics to demonstrate ROI and productivity gains
- Oversee information technology budgeting
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the GSOF Headquarters/SOF Heritage Center
- Develop, implement, and maintain all technology-related policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, including IT security, data governance, business continuity, and acceptable use
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT vendor relationships, from sourcing and negotiation to performance management, ensuring cost-effective partnerships that deliver maximum value
- Lead the Data Governance Squad to ensure the strategic, ethical, and responsible use of organizational data
- Assist with new employee onboarding
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business) or equivalent professional experience
) - Ability to manage time and work remotely
- Ability to work with a dynamic and fast-moving team
- Familiarity with the non-profit/association technology stack, including Association Management Systems (AMS), event registration platforms, and other relevant SaaS applications
- Experience with both Mac and PC systems
Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
