Introducing my work-around for notifications - email! Now when you add a user to a group or assign an item to a user, you have the option of emailing that user to let them know! Just log out and log back in before you use it so that your email from the login provider you choose is stored.
You can also log in without Facebook or Google, simply by using an email and password, but this may make it harder for other users to identify you.
I also fixed a minor bug where creating groups with a "-" in the name or topic cut off the descriptions.
