Phewwwwww. I also chucked in a Hermione POV, it’s about time, she’s due for it.

Aaaaaand now back to the gift fest story!! Whooooooop.

Um, a bit of what I would think would be a normal reaction...but I hope I’ve written what feels like a “real” relationship conversation. Not that I don’t mind a dramatic misunderstanding...but still.. :)

Trying to write the next chapter of Mongoose plus writing my thingy for the gift fest is blowing my damn mind!

Also...

I was reading a few fics and thinking of....what ages a fic and what makes you guess the age or culture of an author? I say this because...I avoid making any reference to music or television that isn’t old or culturally “classic” enough not to jar the reader.

I read a fic where Hermione mentioned her “never miss favourite TV shows” were “Chuck” and “Greek”. After googling both of these my first thought was “wow those are old” and my second thought was “what would draw her to those shows?”. I mean, the fraternity thing is almost uniquely American right? My third thought was, pretty sure we didn’t get them aired much in Oz.

Another story had Snape sitting down for an evening....milk and cookies WTF. W......T.......F

Is this a US thing? Do adults regularly drink milk and cookies? Enquiring minds must know!!!! My thought was... the author is either very young or very American.

I mean sorry I’ve been MIA... just stuff happening yanno. Life. Eh. I promise to be better. Right?

Um...so I posted Mongoose Chapter 27.

I needed (wanted?) to cover a bit of a plot point before Gringotts... which Severus won’t see of course. Except the aftermath! Ha.

There are a small (lol..,very small), core group of readers for this story who are so incredibly supportive. It really makes a difference.
