Workforce Development Technical Assistance
IREC delivers expert technical assistance to help employers, training providers, and community organizations develop a high-quality, robust solar workforce. We connect partners with local workforce ecosystems through job training programs, workforce boards, and labor market insights. We help identify workforce availability and foster meaningful partnerships to support training, recruitment and outreach, and hiring and retention needs.
Our services include:
Developing or connecting to Registered Apprenticeship programs
Providing access to workforce planning tools and templates
Connecting to state-specific workforce ecosystem resources
Making connections to curricula and training opportunities
Facilitating connection and education through virtual engagement opportunities
IREC’s technical assistance services will help people from all backgrounds gain access to opportunities in this growing industry—including people from low-income and disadvantaged communities, veterans and transitioning service members, and others. We provide opportunities for connection and outreach through the Connect Now platform on Green Workforce Connect, a hub that connects job seekers, employers, and training providers, and raises awareness of opportunities in the clean energy and energy efficiency workforce. Visit our Connect Now page and browse a directory of hundreds of solar training providers in all 50 states. Enter your zip code to find training opportunities in your area, including four-year and community colleges, specialized solar training providers, IREC-accredited programs, and more. You can also search for programs that offer credentials or prepare for NABCEP certification.
