HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY, GREEN MILL!

HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY, GREEN MILL!

On June 19, 1986, Dave Jemilo opened the current incarnation of the Green Mill, one of the most iconic jazz clubs in Chicago. Under his careful and often curmudgeonly leadership, the Green Mill has grown into one of the world’s leading live entertainment venues.

Starting on June 19, we will be honoring this milestone by bringing back late night music to the Green Mill on Fridays and Saturdays.

Friday nights, we’ll be hosting the Green Mill Jam Session, led by the great Marquis Hill, from 1am – 3am. Saturday nights will feature Chicago-based organ trio Righteous Rooster, from 1am – 4am. The cover charge will be $5, from 1am to closing.

All of us at the Green Mill have been celebrating this anniversary since the creation of Malort. So come on in and join us in a toast to at least another 40 years of the Green Mill!
