We all know that that traditional works of art have a timeless quality to them, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy them with a little added spark from modern technology!

By now, most people are familiar with Katsushika Hokusai’s definitive work of art, “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” (Kanagawa Okinami Ura). The famous woodblock print allows us to imagine boats battling a raging wave in the waters of Kanagawa Prefecture, while Mt. Fuji overlooks in the background.
Except we don’t have to imagine anymore!
Senagawa Thirty-Seven, @s07741657, on Twitter has created a series of spruced up gifs that allow us to see these classic works of art in full motion, perhaps with some insight to the great Hokusai’s own imagination! Some of them are simply animated, but the addition of U.F.O’s, glowsticks, bullet-trains, and lasers transports them to the future!
