Near the end of a recent swim I was looking toward shore wondering where the line of breaking waves had come from. Then I heard a snort behind me and turned to see this pod of dolphins zipping by. I always like how the light plays on their bodies as they go by.
I think orchid looks more purple than blue, but it certainly has the twists.

I was getting quite the look from this anole. It’s a Green Anole in it’s brown coloration, though clearly not for blending in with the background!

As soon as I saw this Northern Mockingbird I thought it must be looking for its keys or wallet!
I don’t get down to Upolu as much as I used to, but recently I headed down that way and saw this large military aircraft looping around the airstrip. It was practicing touch and goes. I managed to get there in time to see it go around a couple of times before heading back to base in Oahu. I’m not sure what kind of plane this was, but clearly one of the large transport aircraft of the U.S. military.
This was one of three octopuses I saw together recently. I think this one and one of the others were looking to mate, but my presence was spooking them. So I backed off and they did indeed appear to be going to mate, but none of my photos turned out as I was then too far away!
