WORK WITH ME
As a lifelong reader, I’ve always been fascinated with the book world. My child brain couldn’t believe that some people got to write books for a living while others made their living reading them. *child mind blown* But now, I’m delighted to say that one MBA and an editing certificate from the University of Chicago later, I’m doing both: My first novel, Free Falling, is being considered for TV adaptation, and I’m out on sub with my YA action thriller. But even before all of that materialized, I launched my editing business to help writers from all walks of life, in all stages of the creative process.
Now, more than seven years later, in addition to my querying and self-published clients, I have worked with traditional publishers such as Macmillan, Penguin Random House, St. Martin’s, DK, and HMH. I am a freelance editor for the Atlanta Writers Conference, and I teach workshops for their writing club. I’ve taught workshops for Sisters in Crime and the Romance Writers of America, and even been featured on Mark Dawson’s SPF 101 podcast.
So what does all of that mean for you? It means I’ve been where you’ve been. The publishing journey is quite a ride, and I have the same anxieties and questions about writing, publishing, and marketing that you have. But I’ve learned a lot over the years, and I plan on using what I’ve learned to help you reach your publishing goals. PAST PROJECTS
CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
Grace Wynter is my first choice when I am looking for the right editor for my clients. She has been thorough, professional, and extremely helpful to my clients. I recommend Grace wholeheartedly.
Grace Wynter is the editor’s editor. A consummate professional, she is scrupulous in her attention to editorial detail as well as timely and thorough in her communications. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any individual or organization seeking a high-quality editor.
Grace’s support and guidance have been amazing throughout the entire editing process! Her exceptional eye for detail and deep understanding of story structure and character development elevated my writing, helping me refine my ideas while staying true to my voice. I highly recommend her to any writer seeking an editor who is both skilled and genuinely invested in your work.
Grace brought my book to life, teaching me how to capture readers’ hearts through organically weaving depth and emotion into my scenes. Grace has a gift for knowing what I want to say better than I do. After her editing, I received several requests from editors and agents, and got an offer of representation from an agent. No one else does what she does!
