About Grace Daly

Grace Daly has been described as a spitfire, an intuitive creative, and a chronically ill woman with moderate to severe joint pain (among other health issues). She contains multitudes.

She is published in the horror anthologies Rewired and Sand, Salt, Blood, as well as in Allegory E-Zine, the Timber Ghost Press blog, and the Tales to Terrify podcast, among others. Her debut novel, a horror comedy titled “The Scald-Crow”, is currently out with Creature Publishing. She also has a fantasy novella called “The Star of Kilnaely” releasing with Brigids Gate Press in 2026.

She loves her pets, the natural world, cooking, music, and tabletop role-playing games. She also obviously loves reading. Some of her favorite authors include Rainbow Rowell, Kazuo Ishiguro, Zoje Stage, José Saramago, Victor LaValle, and Margo Lanagan.

She is a country mouse, but has compromised with her body and its need for access to a wide variety of medical specialists and therefore resides in a suburb of Chicago. She spends most of her time with her dog Westley, who is a very good boy.
