Apple has released its new line up of iPods, including an iPod with an almost identical look as that of it’s iPhone.

The iPhone has also recieved a $200 cut on the price, bringing it to  US$399. Hell, I’d like to get one when it becomes, legally, available in New Zealand and it wasn’t too expensive.

The new range of iPods look really good, and to go along with it, users of the iPod Touch and the iPhone will be able to use Starbuck wifi for free if buying music off the iTunes store. As the iPod touch also includes wi-fi capabilities.

Mobile phone maker, Nokia has announced that it will be, basically, copying the iPhone and putting its brand name on it.

The new touch screen mobile phone should be available by next year.

Referring to the iPhone, Nokia’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Multimedia, Anssi Vanjoki, said, “If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride.”

I’m not too sure on the details, but it will apparently have a high amount of storage.

Speculation has amounted that Apple will soon start to sell Beatles music tracks and a new range of iPods will be announced. The new range of iPods is supposed to include a touch screen version of the popular video iPod.

Other iPods will, of course, be revamped as well.

Apple’s new mobile phone, the iPhone, has failed miserably to meet analysts predictions of total Apple sales. In the first two days of sales, AT&T only managed to get 146,000 subscribers.

AT&T, the exclusive network carrier of the iPhone, had been expected to get subscribers numbers more around 500,000 for the first two days on launch on June 29.

Andy Hargreaves, analyst for Pacific Crest, said, “The difference [between sales and activations] is going to be what was sold on eBay or activations that didn’t happen immediately. There were some problems with activations but from what we heard it was minimal.”
