Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:
  • gender
  • gender identity and expression
  • age
  • sexual orientation
  • disability
  • physical appearance
  • body size
  • race
  • ethnicity
  • nationality
  • religion
  • political views
  • previous hackathon attendance or lack of
  • computing experience or lack of
  • chosen programming language or tech stack
We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following:
  • hacks
  • talks, presentations, or demos
  • workshops
  • any parties associated to the hackathon
  • social media
  • any other online media
Additionally, participants are expected to:
  • Treat all attendees, organizers, mentors, judges, and volunteers with respect and courtesy
  • Alert organizers if they notice violations of this Code of Conduct or someone in distress
  • Respect the venue by keeping spaces clean and disposing of trash properly
  • Leave the venue in the same or better condition than when they arrived
  • Respect the rules and policies of the venue
Project originality requirements
All projects submitted to the Good Vibes Hackathon must be original work created specifically during the hackathon period (November 26-29, 2025). We do not accept recycled projects from other hackathons or pre-existing personal projects. Participants who submit projects built outside of this event period will be disqualified. We value genuine effort and creativity. Participants must work on their submissions during the designated time to be eligible for prizes and recognition. This event is free to attend. All participants are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct at all hackathon venues and hackathon-related events. Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon at the discretion of the hackathon organizers.
