The GoodSAM Responder App is a professional deployment system used by Emergency Services around the world and the National Health Service in the UK. GoodSAM provides a range of solutions connecting those with specific skill sets to those in need, for example: - GoodSAM Cardiac: This system is used by ambulance services to alert those trained in resuscitation (e.g. off duty paramedics, nurses, doctors, police and fire staff) to those nearby who are likely to be in cardiac arrest. This system has saved many lives around the world. - GoodSAM Volunteer Response: GoodSAM is a platform used by the NHS and 3rd sector organisation such as the Royal Voluntary Service and British Red Cross to deploy volunteers to those in need. At the current time this is coordinating the 750,000 NHS Volunteers to help those isolated in the Coronavirus crisis. - GoodSAM Pro: This is a professional dispatch system for community first responders and the emergency services. The App utilises the latest in location technology and has many advanced features including a built in “radio” (Buzz) function so you can communicate with surrounding colleagues. The GoodSAM platform has saved hundreds of lives and helped many thousands of people around the world. If you can help your community, please download the App and register under your parent organisation (or get your parent organisation on board if they are not on!). Visit www.goodsamapp.org for more information. Please download the App and join our global community. Our Apps rely on location services for navigation and position updates. Please note continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Version History Behind the scenes updates and improvements in preparation for new functionality. 13.5 Feb 10 1) Enabling organisations to design and integrate their own survey/follow up questionnaires. 2) Enabling organisations to build their own activity outcomes. 3) Various UI improvements. 13.2 Jan 18 We are pleased to announce the introduction of AI Scribe, a new capability within the GoodSAM AI module that enables organisations to generate AI-supported documentation directly from in-person interactions. AI Scribe uses advanced transcription and language modelling to create accurate, structured draft documents, significantly reducing administrative effort. 13.1 12/31/2025 NHS Single Sign-On Update – Improved and streamlined NHS login for a smoother, more secure experience. Introducing The Hub – A new central place to send various invite types and easily collect media. Activities Tab Enhancements – View scheduled activities and complete reports directly within the app. General Improvements – Minor updates and performance enhancements throughout. 13 12/09/2025 Skills: In this App update, we have added the new “Skills” section. This enables organisations to set up new skills (such as flood response) with training packages in the App. Responders can then select the skill, undergo the training and be available to respond. Find it under the “Me” tab. If you’re a GoodSAM responder you’ll see skills becoming available over the next few months! Apple Liquid Glass: We have also reworked the App to configure to the sleek look of Liquid Glass. 12.7 10/14/2025 Minor improvements and bug fixes. 12.6 03/18/2025 Lone working support – If your organisation has enabled this, before going into someone’s house simply select the time you expect to be out, and if you aren’t, the organisation is informed. “Future Tasks” has been renamed as “Activities”. “Activity Completed” button now has customisable outcomes. Alert / Task Acceptance – the “Reject” button has changed to “decline”. Professionals – The “Invites” and “Media” tabs now display the team’s name and can be searchable by the team name. 12.5 05/30/2024 - Minor bug fixes. 12.4 03/30/2024 This is a major update for the GoodSAM alerting / tasking / volunteering module! There are some under the hood changes which support multiple new volunteering roles and opportunities. In addition, you will see buttons relating to: Lone Working Module: Organisations can now activate “lone working” for safety. This means that when a responder enters someone’s home, they can select how long they intend to be there for. If they are not out within that timeframe, the system can alert the host organisation and trigger a safety response. Currently this is being used for the NHS Volunteer responder programme, but other organisations will start in the coming months. Mobile Equipment: You can now state if you carry lifesaving equipment in addition to a defibrillator. This includes, bleed kits, naloxone for opioid reversal and epi-pens. This system is being set up so that ambulance services (if they wish), can alert specific people (e.g. police officers who carry naloxone) to specific incidents (e.g. opioid related unconsciousness). Currently, selecting these will not mean you get alerted, however, over the coming months, this functionality will start to be trialled. Equipment Registry: We also have increased our AED Registry to include bleed kits, water rescue and fire equipment. Please help us compile this data set in the same way we have done for AEDs. We have partnered with the Royal Lifesaving Society who will manage the water rescue equipment data. This means missing life rings etc can be reported to them directly and they can initiate the process to get them replaced. Thank you once again for being part of our wonderful community! All the very best for 2024! 12.3 01/04/2024 This new update provides a new “Loan Working” module to improve volunteer and responder safety. This especially applies to our NHS Volunteer responders. If you’re going into someone’s house for example, simply set the duration of time you intend to be there for as you go in. At the end of that time, the system will check you have left. If you haven’t or don’t respond, a safeguarding process is started to ensure you are safe. As always, there are many other under the hood changes to improve your user experience. This is in addition to our last major update which enabled the mapping of rescue equipment including: AEDs Bleed kits Water rescue equipment Outdoor fire equipment This is an incredibly useful system that can help the emergency services guide people to equipment when needed. Thank you for helping map this and keep it up to date and thank you again for being part of our wonderful community. 12.2 11/20/2023 In addition to being able to map fixed resources such as AEDs, bleed kits, water rescue and fire equipment, this update brings the ability to register if you are carrying life saving equipment. You can now indicate under the me tab if you are carrying: An AED Bleed / trauma kit Naloxone An Epipen. This enables emergency services to specifically alert those who have this equipment to specific emergencies. This does not affect the normal cardiac response and the code of conduct should still be followed if a cardiac responder. There is also a “I am physically fit and can lift” toggle. This means emergency and voluntary services can request help from those nearby in manual tasks such as lifting patients and deploying sandbags in flooding. 12.1 10/08/2023 GoodSAM are excited to announce our new “Emergency Kit Register”!   In addition to mapping defibrillators, the platform now maps Bleed Kits, Water Rescue and Outdoor Fire Equipment.
