What Our Clients Say

I am so grateful that a friend recommended Cameron Goodman to me. Cameron is an excellent attorney and incredibly hardworking. He is tough when he needs to be, but very personable and reasonable as well. Throughout a very complicated divorce with extenuating circumstances, Cameron always took the time to listen. He was very supportive, and I felt like he was fighting for me every step of the way. Cameron had my full trust, both in his expertise as a lawyer and a genuinely upstanding person who cares about his clients. I would highly recommend him.

Cameron, words cannot describe how grateful I am to you. After just our first meeting with you, I left your office knowing that I found the right person to address all my concerns. You were honest, telling me the truth about my case, good and bad. You were so thorough and detailed oriented while updating me every step of the way, responding to my emails right away, addressing my concerns clearly and compassionately. It is very comforting to have someone to work with who can take all of my information and present the best possible legal options available for my case. You are always very professional yet very comfortable discussing legal issues. I was completely satisfied with my experience from start to finish.

I asked a divorce mediator to recommend a good lawyer from the many she has worked with, and she immediately responded, “Cameron. You want Cameron Goodman.” Skilled, knowledgeable, honest, and always prepared, I found her description of him to be absolutely spot-on. He is thorough, compassionate, quick to respond, and has a great sense of humor, a quality often overlooked when hiring attorneys.

Cameron handled a family law matter for me. He did an excellent job. He was trustworthy and responsive. He took the time to make sure I understood everything and made sure we were both on the same page. He demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the law and kept me informed at every step of the way. He is an excellent negotiator and, when appropriate, and aggressive advocate. I am grateful I sought his advice.

First and foremost, I found myself trusting Cameron more than any council I’ve ever retained. In divorce/maintenance proceedings, we all know that more attorneys than not will antagonize, aggravate, and provoke each side into escalating legal fees. Fortunately, I found it doesn’t have to be that way. What was at one point a hostile and seemingly impossible situation, Cameron was able to negotiate and ultimately conciliate a fair settlement with the respondent and opposing counsel that was nothing short of rigid, ill-disposed, and spiteful. Cameron knows the law, what arguments will fly, and the arguments that won’t. He presents himself extremely well to the judge while at the same time flustering the opposing council (several occasions). In the end, Cameron was the reason two people were able to get on with their lives with an agreed order. I highly recommend Cameron and certainly consider him a friend going forward.

Stories

Real Stories.

Real Strength. Real Results.

Whether through negotiated agreements or decisive courtroom results, Goodman Law turns uncertainty into stability.

Building a Brighter Future

Represented a mother in a highly contested relocation case involving two minor children and an existing equal parenting schedule. The father aggressively opposed the move, arguing it would harm his relationship with the children. After extensive litigation and presentation of evidence showing the relocation would provide stronger family support, better educational opportunities, and greater stability, we persuaded the Guardian ad Litem to recommend relocation. Following that recommendation, the father withdrew his objection, allowing the mother and children to relocate and begin their new chapter out of state.

The result: Relocation approved after Guardian ad Litem recommendation, enabling mother and children to move out of state.

Parenting Restored Through Advocacy

Represented a professional parent whose parenting time had been restricted following allegations of domestic violence and multiple DCFS investigations. The case was complex and vigorously contested. Through a detailed evidentiary record and persistent advocacy, we demonstrated the parent’s fitness and ability to provide a safe, stable environment. The court ultimately reinstated parenting time, achieving a favorable outcome after extended litigation.

The result: Court reinstated parenting time after evidence demonstrated the parent’s fitness and ability to provide a safe, stable environment.

Supporting Stability and Connection

Successfully represented a highly involved parent seeking to restore parenting time after a period of restriction related to a mental health crisis. Through collaboration with professionals and presentation of evidence demonstrating stability, compliance, and ongoing treatment, we secured a court order restoring substantial parenting time with appropriate safeguards in place to support the parent’s continued progress and the children’s well-being.

The result: Court restored substantial parenting time after evidence demonstrated the parent’s stability, compliance, and ongoing treatment, with safeguards to support continued progress and children’s well-being.

Securing Financial Stability

Successfully represented a stay-at-home mother in a long-term marriage who had not worked outside the home during the relationship. The husband, who maintained a substantial non-marital estate and a lavish lifestyle, argued that all his income was non-marital and that no support was warranted. Through detailed financial analysis and persuasive advocacy, we secured an award of temporary maintenance, ensuring the client’s financial stability during the divorce proceedings.

The result: Secured temporary maintenance for a stay-at-home mother, providing financial stability despite opposition and complex claims regarding non-marital income.

Achieving Financial Independence

Successfully represented client seeking to terminate maintenance obligation post-divorce after demonstrating recipient spouse had rehabilitated herself in years following divorce.

The result: Successfully terminated post-divorce maintenance after demonstrating that the recipient spouse had rehabilitated herself in the years following the divorce.
