Specifically, this is for charity.

Okay, so

clairbourn's character roster is at an all-time low of 59 characters with only ONE incoming Freshman. It will probably be less after I do another "in or out" Activity Check, as I don't think this number is entirely accurate. We have three characters on reserve and get maybe one app a month.

Normally, I am perfectly cool with this. I like that clairbourn is small and slow. But it's my responsibility as a mod to make sure the game remains fun for as long as possible. And what would REALLY help me out would be... more characters/players.

So, rpers on my f-list... anyone feel like joining a casual AU role playing experience? clairbourn is pretty much the definition of such. I really do need fresh meat up in this so I can get to making it :awesome: again.

The first one is obvious. Anything that Alstroemeria Records puts out is damn near guaranteed to be amazing. They are definitely the best arranger for electronica and dance music amongst the circles. This album, in particular, manages to not be dominated by Masayoshi Minoshima. Which, yes, I have a hard on for Minoshima's stuff, but it's nice to hear the other artists too. Syrufit in particular pulls out an AMAZING job with "Fantasia". Even if you don't like Touhou, I highly recommend this album. Here are some tracks:

Next up we have Iron Attack's "Arashi no Hurricane". Now, as far as touhou metal groups are concerned, it's no secret that I VASTLY prefer Demetori's polished sound to Iron Attack's rough and tumble approach. But this album in particular does a lot to change my mind about them. It's still not exactly on the same level as Demetori's release from last year, but these tracks are still pretty fucking amazing. Plus it has Eirin on the cover. Can't go wrong there. Here's some samples:

STAFF SCHEDULE:

Table shifts (please sign up for one each day). Only two people can sign up for each shift.

Friday morning 9-1
Friday afternoon 2-6
Saturday morning 8:30-12
Saturday afternoon 1-3

Cosplay show schedule for staff:

3-4 - Last minute checks, setup. We will also be sending one person on a dinner run to get food for everyone. We will eat when we can at breaks in the show - that means we'll feed the judges during halftime. Backstage crew will have to grab food as they can.

4-5:30 - Rehearsal. Lining up participants, prejudging. I will talk to the judges to see how we can smooth out the prejudging process.

5:30 - Doors open. All cosplayers need to be lined up and ready to move, all backstage crew in places, audio checks green, etc.

6:00 - Show begins. 7:00 is when we should be beginning skits, but we'll play that one by ear. Ideally the halftime show should begin at 7:30, but if we finish with skits before then (I hope to), we'll start then.

The halftime show should go on for no longer than half an hour, provided the judges are ready by then. It's scheduled that we begin our awards at 8:00, but we do have an extra half hour of padding in case we go over time.

THE ROOM MUST BE CLEARED AT 9:00 in order for the next event to set up. That gives us a three-hour show, all told, which should be plenty of time.

Unless I am completely missing something, I believe that the only major thing is the layout for the comms as well as profiles for the remaining characters and locations. I believe bluebk is working on it; I could be wrong, and even if I'm not, TAKE YOUR TIME MARESUKE. As long as you need. And I also suggest making up the map; it's not like there is a canonical map of Gensokyo in the first place (and heck, we may have to change it when future titles come out).

That said, I have one concern. It's over who's modding. I'm pretty much going to be a mod already, and if it's okay with everyone else, I'd like to be "in charge" of Yukari Yakumo, who is one of the three NPCs. This means though that other people might need to be in charge of the other two NPCs, Aya Shameimaru and Reimu Hakurei. Also, I'd need someone who could do mod-run plots...because I am very bad at thinking up potential mod-run plots besides such random events as "everyone gets younger", "no-one can tell a lie", "Touhou Puppet Theatre", etc. Basically, someone who can create a meaningful plot for the place...because I can't think of anything. ;_;.

So is there anyone who has signed up or claimed modding already? Anyone who wants to be a mod, and help fill those roles? Anyone willing to take it easy?

Okay, so...

I actually DID do a friends cut. But it was mostly just cleaning out people I never talk to/never post anymore.

Everyone else was doing it.

If you can see this and know I took you off my f-list, go ahead and remove me too. I mean... we obviously hadn't much to say to one another if I took you off.

The DR is now modded by minilovely and gravity_xx. Because they were gonna run the alt DR anyways.

Because I sure don't think it's a good idea to give it to me. On top of my reputation, I also need to work on easternfantasy.

I'm going to be frank and just come out and say it.

A portion of players from gensokyo_dr are splitting off to form their own DR. This comes after a fairly large disagreement between these players, including myself, and the Mod of the DR on how to properly run a sandbox/DR. So I'll be transferring all of my characters over to the new place... though I'll still keep some in the old game. Namely Patchy, Cirno, Momiji, and Eirin. AKA my original four. The others, plus those, will all be going to the new game.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I DON'T want this to explode. Nina and I are still friends, in spite of this. But yeah, if we're only going to argue over this kind of thing, it's best we move on to something like this. So let's make this nice and quiet like, yeah? Of course I can only ask that... can't really force anything.
