GM MDI Software by GM-ETAS is the official PC utility for the GM Multiple Diagnostic Interface (MDI and MDI 2). It provides secure, high-speed communication between GM vehicles and factory service applications to support diagnostics, module programming, and setup. Use it with GDS2, Tech2Win, and SPS/SPS2 to perform dealer-level functions. The software discovers and manages MDI devices over USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi, keeps interface firmware up to date, and enables J2534 pass-thru connectivity for approved GM workflows.
