Bryan C. Mabry

Board Member

Bryan Mabry is the founder and managing director of Vehementia, LLC, a strategic advisory firm focused on providing corporate and national security clients with critical information and due diligence to inform risk, investment, and organizational growth decisions. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Onyx Industries, a Virginia-based, advanced military technology company supporting US Government and allied defense clients, and serves as an advisory board member for Scare the Bear Capital and as a partner at New North Ventures.

Bryan previously served as acting vice president of the Department of Administration and Finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), an innovative and independent US foreign assistance agency that is helping to lead the fight against global poverty. Bryan previously served as deputy vice president of the Department of Administration and Finance.

Prior to joining MCC, Mr. Mabry was Director of Special Projects at a Fortune 200 firm of 80,000 employees operating in over 150 countries. Mr. Mabry was responsible for the strategic direction of operations through the identification of new business areas and nontraditional mission support opportunities for a number of commercial clients, federal agencies, and special operations elements of the U.S. military.

Previously, Bryan spent 13 years with the US government leading and managing programs in the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. His roles included management of a large program of record for a key national security government element, as well as serving as the head of Special Programs and Training for one of the US government's most critical operational programs. Bryan served as a subject matter expert (SME) to the intelligence community in the realm of protective operations and served as an instructor/trainer for special operations personnel assigned to these programs.

Bryan served operationally in multiple combat and conflict theaters with the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) Global Response Staff (GRS). He is a recipient of the CIA’s Intelligence Star, Hostile Action Service Medal, and Directors’ Award.

Matt Baker

Board Member

Matt Baker serves as Chief of Staff to the Director of National Intelligence, where he leads internal operations, drives strategic coordination and technological application across the organization, and ensures the effective execution and communication of the DNI’s priorities throughout the Intelligence Community.

Prior to returning to the IC in 2025, Baker worked at Valor Equity Partners as chief of staff to the founder and CEO. He joined Valor in 2021 after more than 18 years of service in the IC, where he served in numerous leadership roles across the globe. Baker is also a former special agent with the DEA in Detroit, Michigan, and is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned his Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.

Jared Maples

Board Member

Jared Maples serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Security Officer for the National Hockey League (NHL). Under his leadership, the security team is responsible for protecting the people, brand, and economic assets that comprise the NHL. He oversees all matters involving physical security, strategy, policy development, investigations, and the integrity of the game. A member of the NHL Senior Leadership Team, Mr. Maples also serves as Alternate Chairman on the US Department of Homeland Security’s Sports Leagues Security Council and is a board member of the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4).

Prior to joining the National Hockey League, Mr. Maples was appointed as Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) in May 2017. As the federally designated Homeland Security Advisor to the Governor, Mr. Maples served in both Governor Murphy's and Governor Christie's cabinets and was responsible for coordinating and leading New Jersey's counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness efforts. The scope of his responsibilities included securing and protecting 9 million New Jersey residents and the state's 100 million annual visitors.

Before his appointment at NJOHSP, Mr. Maples served at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in a variety of leadership roles. He also worked at the US Department of Defense in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. As a seasoned intelligence officer, Mr. Maples’ career focused on executive strategy development and execution, organizational and operational change management, emergency operations response, security investigations, and personnel protection in high-threat environments. Mr. Maples was fortunate to travel around the world on behalf of the US Government, including many deployments to areas of active hostilities.

Mr. Maples is a past member (2014-2019) of the Board of Trustees for the Government Employee Voluntary Investment Fund. As a trustee, Mr. Maples and the entirety of the board maintained exclusive responsibility for the investment of over $300 million in assets across growth, aggressive, index, and income funds.

Mr. Maples earned an Associate of Arts in Government at Valley Forge Military College, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Villanova University, and a Master of Business Administration at Georgetown University

Daniel G.

Dan began his CIA protective operations career in 1993 after graduating from the Special Protective Operations Course (SPOC). He served as a reservist for the Protective Operations Cadre (POC) prior to becoming a full-time Special Agent on the DCI’s Security Staff in 1995. Dan continued to deploy with the POC during his time on the Director’s detail and also became a member of the Counter Assault Team (CAT). In 1998, He became a full-time protective agent with the POC and rose to the position of Team Leader. As collateral duty, he was put in charge of the CAT. Shorty after 9/11/2001, Dan was asked to take over as Chief of the newly formed Global Response Staff (GRS) during a time of unprecedented growth – a position he adored and held until 2006.
