By the way, :order on a default scope can't be overriden by the :order of a named_scope, and Searchlogic is based on named_scopes. So, that's probably an ActiveRecord bug/feature.

Just found a fix: I was using slf4j-jdk without any specific settings. Switched to scala-logging and logback with a proper logback.xml and output is good now. Thanks for the quick...
