Description
The block inserter does not appear to filter the block types available based on the current context. E.g., the List Item block type is displayed, even when a List block is not selected. This is confusing, and also creates a situation where tapping an erroneously displayed block type results in no action—the block type is not inserted.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions
- Launch the editor.
- Open the block inserter.
Expected behaviour
Block types irrelevant to the current context are not displayed (e.g., List Item when a Paragraph block is selected).
Actual behaviour
Block types irrelevant to the current context are displayed (e.g., List Item when a Paragraph block is selected).
