i.e. Make timestamp optional while ingesting histogram data into distribution port - 40,000 so client can ingest histogram data (sample below) - which will use Clock.now() !M wavefrontHQ#3 1500 wavefrontHQ#10 1000 wavefrontHQ#50 5000 sample.histogram source=test.wavefront.com

The value of 4 in the .conf file is too low for most applications. Auto-configuration (# of CPUs * # of listening ports) works well in the majority of cases, so having to override the value in the .conf file is an exception rather than a rule.
