Code Review
This pull request refactors header value extraction into helper functions to reduce code duplication. The change is a good improvement to code clarity and maintainability. I've suggested a small enhancement to the new helper function to make it even more reusable, which would allow simplifying another part of the code that has similar logic. I also noticed that the logic for implicit_key extraction doesn't seem to have dedicated test coverage, which could be a good addition for a future PR.
