I did a test merge in my repository between my branch this is based on and both the v1.3.0 branch and the pytorch/master branch and everything merged cleanly with respect to the files I modified here. |

ok .. I tried to provide a pull request based on v1.3.0 that would merge cleanly. I failed in
#27415
this new PR should work where that one failed.
