@shawndfernandes, first of all, thanks for your work on this.

I could be reading this wrong, but am I right in thinking that the VideoCapture side of things is still hard-coded to be 8-bit? Specifically, I'm looking at CvCapture_FFMPEG::retrieveFrame in your updated version of this file.
