This PR makes ACP agents first-class in OpenClaw, so users can run coding harnesses (Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, OpenCode, Pi, etc.) inside thread-bound sessions instead of only using built-in subagents.

In plain terms: a user can ask OpenClaw to start a coding agent in a thread, keep talking in that thread, and get the agent’s replies back in the same thread with proper lifecycle controls.

Why this change

Before this PR, ACP support was partial and brittle:

ACP thread flows were not fully integrated with core session/thread routing.
Streaming output could fragment badly in Discord.
Error handling and policy checks were inconsistent across command paths.
Channel-specific code leaked into places that should stay channel-agnostic.

This PR closes those gaps and hardens the architecture for production use.

What changed

Added a full ACP runtime/control-plane in core OpenClaw.
Added ACP spawn/send/dispatch support to the normal session pipeline.
Added and hardened ACP command handling (/acp ...) for lifecycle and runtime options.
Added the extensions/acpx plugin as the ACP backend bridge (with pinned plugin dependency management).
Integrated ACP with thread binding and focus/unfocus flows.
Added startup reconciliation and runtime cleanup (including stale binding/session handling and idle eviction).
Centralized ACP error shaping so user-facing failures are consistent and actionable.
Unified system/meta message formatting for ACP/thread-related status messages.
Added channel-boundary guardrails to prevent Discord-specific imports in channel-agnostic ACP paths.
Added manual smoke tooling for plain-language ACP thread validation.

User-visible behavior

Users can start ACP-backed sessions and keep multi-turn conversations in threads.
ACP replies now coalesce properly instead of sending token-fragmented/broken lines.
Thread-targeted ACP replies stay in thread (fixes cases where early output leaked to main channel).
Thread banners/status now include useful session metadata and working directory context.
Session identity display is consistent and backend-aware.

Config and enablement

Feature is gated and explicit:

acp.enabled=true
acp.dispatch.enabled=true
Channel thread spawn gate (Discord): channels.discord.threadBindings.spawnAcpSessions=true
ACP agent policy (acp.allowedAgents, optional acp.defaultAgent) is enforced.

Reliability and safety improvements

Strict runtime option validation.
Better queue/turn handling to avoid long stalls.
Standardized cancel/close/error behavior.
Better observability and diagnostics around ACP session state.

Testing and docs

Added/updated unit tests across ACP manager, runtime, dispatch, command handlers, projector/coalescing, and guardrails.
Added plugin tests for acpx runtime/service/config behavior.
Added documentation for ACP agents, commands, configuration, troubleshooting, and plain-language usage.
Added manual smoke script for thread-bound ACP plain-language flow.

Scope note

This PR establishes ACP as a first-class session runtime in OpenClaw while keeping channel-agnostic logic in shared layers and channel-specific behavior in adapters. Discord thread UX is the primary validated path, but the architecture is prepared for other thread-capable channels.
