Description

As a user wanting to download or interact with downloaded OCI Artifacts, I rarely want to use them as OCI Layouts. Instead there are cases in which I want to interpret them as single layer Artifacts (i.e. HELM Charts), for which I want to be able to extract them into the appropriate format.

The Transformer should be based on the interface described in #545

In Scope:

• Can Interpret any blob as an OCI Layout (using the OCI package https://github.com/open-component-model/open-component-model/blob/main/bindings/go/oci/tar/oci_layout_tar_reader.go)
• Can Open the Artifact, read out any Main Artifacts, interpret their layers and extract them into a TAR
• The TAR can then be reused by the CLI to contain the chart and the provenance data for HELM Charts (https://github.com/helm/community/blob/main/hips/hip-0006.md for the structure of HELM OCI Artifacts)

Done Criteria

• Code has been reviewed by other team members
• Analysis of existing tests (Unit and Integration)
• Unit Tests created for new code or existing Unit Tests updated
• Integration Test Suite updated (includes deletion of existing unnecessary Integration Test and/or creation of new ones if required)
• Enduser Documentation updated (if applicable)
• Internal technical Documentation created/updated (if applicable)
• Successful demonstration in Review
