Steps to reproduce:

Press insert+N
press H for help
Up-arrow to check for updates.
If an update is present, select download.
When prompted to donate, select not now.

Actual behavior:

The update closes without proceeding.

Expected behavior:

The update should download and ask to install.

Yes

Have you tried any other versions of NVDA? If so, please report their behaviors.

tested with version 2024.4.1 upgrading to 2024.4.2 and this issue didn't happen and the upgrade was a success.

If NVDA add-ons are disabled, is your problem still occurring?

Yes

Does the issue still occur after you run the COM Registration Fixing Tool in NVDA's tools menu?
