Issue Type: Bug
Visual Studio shows a notification "Restart Visual Studio Code to apply the latest update." Previously when clicking "Update Now" VSCode would automatically restart. However currently it only exits and doesn't manage to restart itself. Manually starting VSCode after this (running code .) starts the current version of VSCode (not the updated version) which again shows the update dialog.
