Code Review

This pull request introduces a new registry entry for the Janet programming language. The review feedback suggests improving platform compatibility by incorporating the asdf backend for Linux and macOS, refining the description for accuracy, and adding a detect field to enhance integration with mise.

The github backend for Janet only provides pre-built binaries for Windows. On Linux and macOS, the GitHub releases only contain source code, which the github backend (via ubi) cannot install. Adding the asdf backend (which builds from source) provides support for these platforms, while restricting the github backend to Windows.

Isn't it more secure to get the binary directly from github if possible?

Capitalize "VM" and include "Lisp-like" to better describe the language, as per its official documentation.

Adding a detect field allows mise to suggest installing Janet when it detects a project.janet file in a project directory.

Greptile Summary

Adds janet.toml to the registry, registering the Janet programming language via the github:janet-lang/janet backend. The entry is well-formed and follows the established registry pattern.

Confidence Score: 5/5

Safe to merge — single registry file, correct format, valid upstream binary releases.

The entry follows the established registry pattern, the github:janet-lang/janet backend is backed by real binary releases (Linux x64, macOS arm64, Windows x64), and the contains-based test check means expected = '{{version}}' works correctly even though janet appends a commit hash to its version string. No P0 or P1 issues found.

No files require special attention.
