I would like to know if this library is still being maintained and under active development. And - for those that use notifee, would you recommend it?
My team has heard good things about the @react-native-firebase/messaging + notifee combo. We are already using @react-native-firebase/messaging and are now looking to plugin notifee. We are migrating from react-native-notifcations and I don't want us to be swapping from one unmaintained library to another..
I notice the last release was 9 months ago in Dec of 2024, and many of the issues have little to no activity, marked as stale eventually it seems.
It looks like this hasn't been the first time this has been asked: #899, and if I am reading correctly it seems that notifee was made open-source and other invertase competing priorities cause this library to be actively maintained in chunks or a flurry.
What worries me is some long-standing issues like: #912 that have been discussed and open for quite some time without resolution.
