Adding support for dense Qwen-3.5 models (text only)#1326

The index field was not being set on partial responses, final responses, or embedding responses, causing batch results to all report index 0. Set res->index = slot.task->index in send_partial_response, send_final_response, and send_embedding. Ex : `llm_load_tensors: CPU buffer size = XXX.XX MiB` That double display is cluttering the screen without being very informative. * change bytes display to MiB. Yeah I haven't gotten around to quantizing the dense yet... Interestingly Unsloth seems to have leaned very hard into MXFP4 but made some mistakes in their script leading to models with accidental MXFP4 attn and other tensors in mixes where it wouldn't make sense like this recent UD-Q4_K_XL https://huggingface.co/unsloth/Qwen3.5-35B-A3B-GGUF/discussions/5 My hunch is that for some reason the masses of locallama seem to like MXFP4 despite my linking to your original PR discussion about it multiple times haha... It is possible unsloth is attempting to make quants that run faster on more hardware e.g. macs and strix halo type systems where i-quants might perform slower due to lower compute than CUDA? Or it could be possible they are having some issues making smaller imatrix quants as the recent Qwens have been causing trouble for bartowski : Just speculating here... Thanks! |
Tested with this model
I notice that Unsloth are not providing models for i-quants, and wonder if this is because they cannot make them, or if it is a new directive from the Master. Anyone knows?
I guess it is the former, as they do have I-quants for the new Qwen3.5 MoE models.
