- This condition was lost in Fix Concurrent Snapshot Ending And Stabilize Snapshot Finalization #38368 (master failover should trigger a check for whether or not all shard's nodes are still around since the removed nodes event could be lost in this scenario <= otherwise we could get a stuck snapshot like in this example [CI] Multiple Failures in org.elasticsearch.snapshots.DedicatedClusterSnapshotRestoreIT #38447 (comment))

@ywelsch unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a test in I'll continue to try and find a more deterministic test for this tomorrow though :) |
