During synchronous creation of a new
NetworkStream, theSocket.Connectpassed successfully and then cancellation disposed the socket. ThenNetworkStreamctor checked the socket state and thrown anIOException. This exception should have been handled the same way as exceptions fromConnectand mapped toOperationCanceledException.Fixes #39279
