Hi, I'm Colin

I'm a third year Computer Science student at Queen’s University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. I enjoy building end-to-end AI systems that blend machine learning, automation, and developer tools and can turn complex workflows into intuitive software.

Experience

  • AI Software Developer @ Ostar Education (Summer 2025)
    Built and deployed a full-stack AI lesson-generation platform using FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, and OpenAI API, automating K-12 worksheet creation and cutting teacher prep time from 45 to 5 minutes. Platform is currenty in use by 5+ K-12 teachers, and has generated 150+ worksheets since deployment. Set up CI/CD pipelines, Nginx reverse proxying, and systemd service management for production deployment.

  • Project Lead @ QMIND × Technical Management Group Ltd. (2025–Present)
    Leading a team of developers to automate contractor CV generation for Technical Management Group Ltd., a mining & energy consulting company, using LLM's and automation with Python, reducing a 45-minute manual process to 2 minute proofread.

  • AI Developer – NLP @ QMIND (2024–2025)
    Trained a CNN model (TensorFlow) to classify emotion from EEG data with 95 % accuracy, and produced analytic visualizations that helped to accelerate model iteration.

    A privacy-first AI study overlay that captures on-screen text or regions, performs OCR, retrieves grounded explanations with citations, and generates exportable flashcards and quizzes. Built with Tauri, React/TypeScript, Rust, SQLite, FAISS, and OpenAI/Ollama.

  • CodeOps Agent
    An agentic DevOps assistant that monitors GitHub CI pipelines, retrieves semantic context from code and logs, and autonomously proposes and tests fixes. Uses FastAPI, LangGraph, FAISS, Docker, and OpenAI/Claude with modular MCP tools for sandboxed reasoning.

    A 3D interactive portfolio built with React, Tailwind CSS, and Three.js, showcasing my projects and experience with some cool 3D-models and animations!
