Looks good to me from a Helm perspective. I'll let the CLI team comment on the feature itself.
Note that there's also the rollOut and operator.rollOutPods flags that restart the pods if the configmap changes.

i'm inspired from cilium config set/delete where it is a restart of cilium pods but may be an idea to launch rollout) |

It is, in general, better to perform a restart via a rollout (to allow the scheduler to adhere to maxSurge etc.).
However, to do it properly we would essentially need to copy this logic from kubectl https://github.com/kubernetes/kubectl/blob/eb067c5cd62dbb8427fb6b22f9197d9834bfc1f2/pkg/polymorphichelpers/objectrestarter.go#L32
So, for now I think we can leave that to a future task and have this match the existing logic from config change.

The Cilium CLI is always released from the main branch I believe, so it will be part of the next Cilium CLI release. |
