Bandaid on #8678 so it won't be pestering other unrelated PRs. Remove this bandaid when a long-term solution is found.

p.s. @bsipocz , since this is mainly to help PR reviews, I don't think it has to go into 3.2, so I milestoned it to 4.0.

I think this will work but only one way to find out...Also don't need to waste Travis and Appveyor time on this, since CircleCI runs would be sufficient.
