Summary
The generics and trait bounds in
class/typed_dict.rshave become very complicated. That's led to us having to have lots of awkward.borrow()calls in the various functions synthesizingTypedDictmethods, and it led to some unnecessary.collect()and.clone()calls being added in #24476.This PR swaps the complicated generic bounds for a two-variant enum. This feels much easier to understand, it's less code, I think it makes us less likely to add unnecessary
.clone()and.collect()calls, and it might reduce monomorphisation slightly.Test Plan
existing tests all pass.
