I've never written an e2e test myself, but looking at the code it makes sense. Running the tests they pass. I don't see anything wrong here, and it looks like a solid improvement, thank you @gziolo!
I'd feel more confident merging this if someone more experienced than me in e2e tests approved it too 👍
