Test by running the plugin in dev mode and by building/installing it. I also upgraded from an existing version using WP-CLI as follows: wp plugin install /home/james/gutenberg.zip --force |

In #985 we moved the plugin initialization code from
index.phptogutenberg.php. We also introduced a transitionalindex.phpfile to prevent errors when people upgraded through this change. It's been over 3 weeks, and this change happened before the initial release to the plugin directory. We should no longer need this file.
