* Control board client should use new FileCmds initiator * Restore informative logging, but drop to debug level * Use the correct object to call list_images()

Fixes for regression bugs introduced when refactoring the common python package in the last release cycle.
Also brings back verbose logging that turned out to be useful for debugging this breakage.
