During a live session in elementary OS, I noticed their wingpanel didn't use the icon theme I choose. A quick research showed a sad reality: elementary icon theme is hardcoded for wingpanel in elementaryOS 8. See Application: hard code elementary styles.
Seems, there is no reason to keep 24px symbolic icons that were copied from ePapirus to Papirus and mixing two different styles in one icon theme. |

@SmartFinn Yes, it's only actions 24 symbolic icons.... Need create symlinks for actions, because it's used on XFCE |
ePapirus is no longer needed as it will be merged into Papirus. It was originally created due to differences in "-symbolic" icon sizes between GNOME and Pantheon, as well as for tray support. Since Pantheon has removed the tray and the symbolic icon issue has been resolved, maintaining ePapirus is unnecessary.
