This is simply a recoloured Portal icon, so whatever oddness must come from there.

Edit: #4f4f4f is pretty much gray. the Prelude icon is black I don't think #4f4f4f fits.

Edit: I think the #4f4f4f with inverse colours would fit I'll push those for your opinion

Yeah, the source icon uses some questionable decisions when drawing the inner element (many excess nodes). The file size is fine anyway.
