Extending Reflect

UPDATE:

Reflect is now part of Microsoft Teams for Education! Learn more at https://aka.ms/reflect

As promised earlier this year, Reflect is now available to all Teams for Education customers. It is ready to use today as soon as it is added to your class team. As a new fully-hosted, production-level solution, Reflect will be simple to enable for your organization and easier for your tenant users to access in Teams. Reflect has also benefitted greatly from your feedback. Reflect now offers localization and additional reporting features in Insights.

Interested in extending the functionality of the Reflect messaging extension? Here are a few ideas:

A dashboard summarizing Reflect responses over time

  • Provide a summary view of all responses to Reflect polls that an individual has sent.
  • Example: a 6th grade teacher has set up a recurring Reflect poll to check-in with her students every weekday morning at 9am. She may want to see how the class' responses change over time.

View future scheduled reflections

  • Display scheduled (but non-recurring) Reflect polls in the "Scheduled reflections" screen

Label scheduled Reflect polls

  • Add a label to scheduled Reflect polls to indicate that they were posted as part of a scheduled check-in

Notifications of responses (or non-responses)

  • Provide a notification to the author of the Reflect poll when someone responds to the poll or notify if no one has responded.
