Three asyncio.gather() calls in tools/web_tools.py ran without return_exceptions=True. A single failing task (e.g. LLM rate limit on one URL) would raise out of gather() and discard every other successfully fetched/summarized result. Pass return_exceptions=True and filter BaseException entries with a warning log before unpacking. Affects: - chunk summarization gather (large web_extract pages) - firecrawl per-result LLM post-processing - tavily crawl per-result LLM post-processing Closes #2744
PR #2751 salvage. CI requires AUTHOR_MAP coverage for all contributor commit emails.

Checked the other ~10 production
asyncio.gathersites repo-wide. All are either alreadyreturn_exceptions=True(mcp_tool, matrix, dingtalk, telegram_network, feishu, qqbot) or wrap each task internally (mixture_of_agents_run_reference_model_safe, trajectory_compressorprocess_single). No widening needed.Validation
E2E: simulated a mix of raising / None / successful tasks through the same gather+filter pattern at each site — failures filtered, successes preserved, order maintained, legitimate empty summaries still skipped by the existing
