This Merge

This PR is the regular merge of the haskell-updates branch into master.

This branch is being continually built and tested by hydra at https://hydra.nixos.org/jobset/nixpkgs/haskell-updates.

I will aim to merge this PR by 2021-09-19. If I can merge it earlier, there might be successor PRs in that time window. As part of our rotation @sternenseemann will continue these merges from 2021-09-20 to 2021-10-03.

haskellPackages Workflow Summary

Our workflow is currently described in
pkgs/development/haskell-modules/HACKING.md.

The short version is this:

  • We regularly update the Stackage and Hackage pins on haskell-updates (normally at the beginning of a merge window).
  • The community fixes builds of Haskell packages on that branch.
  • We aim at at least one merge of haskell-updates into master every two weeks.
  • We only do the merge if the mergeable job is succeeding on hydra.
  • If a maintained package is still broken at the time of merge, we will only merge if the maintainer has been pinged 7 days in advance. (If you care about a Haskell package, become a maintainer!)

This is the follow-up to #136589. Come to #haskell:nixos.org if you have any questions.

You may be able to find an up-to-date build report at https://github.com/cdepillabout/nix-haskell-updates-status.

* haskell.packages.ghc884.ghc-api-compat needed us to re-add the 8.6
  version of the package.
* haskell.packages.ghc901.ghc-api-compat now points to the newly
released 9.0.1 version of the package.
* haskell.packages.ghc8107.ghc-api-compat now correctly points to
  ghc-api-compat 8.10.7.

GHC 9.2.1 is still unsupported (which is to be expected, with it
being a release candidate).

To make sure everything stays working we'll build ghc-api-compat as part
of versionedCompilerJobs.

There are still a few packages that have yet to build on darwin and aarch64, but none of them are maintained, so I will go ahead and merge this in. There are no evaluation errors on Hydra.
