SAM now reports several output variables for different flavors of levelized cost along with levelized PTC. We should standardize the labels to make them easier to find, and to ensure that a search for something like "LCOE" works. Here's what the list looks like now, including the new LCOS outputs:
I would like to propose these names instead, with one each for real and nominal:
LCOE Levelized cost of energy
LCOG Levelized cost of generation
LCOS Levelized cost of storage
LPPA Levelized PPA price
LCOH Levelized cost of heat (for the industrial process heat models that use the LCOH fixed charge rate calculator)
Levelized federal PTC
Levelized state PTC
The LCOG is for the India return on equity metric, and is potentially confusing. There are several annual cash flow line items used to calculate LCOG that are hidden from the cash flow but available as annual data in the Data Tables: Return on equity input, Return on equity dollars, Return on equity.
